We had a fun filled but tiring Friday. We wanted to ride the Dart (Dallas version of Trax) into downtown Dallas to see how long of a ride Landon should expect. It had been raining off and on that morning but we decided to go anyways. The ride lasted about 35 minutes and by the time we got downtown it was pouring rain and we had no umbrella. We ran across the street into the building Landon will be working in and we got soaked. We walked around inside for a few minutes and decided to head back, and got even more soaked waiting for the train.
After that, we headed straight to the Fort Worth Stockyards, where Casey James was going to be performing for his American Idol Top 3 Homecoming. What should have only been a 50 minute drive turned into a 2 hour drive (due to traffic and our GPS being a little too confusing at times, thus leading to a lot of missed turns on our part.) But we had a lot of fun seeing him perform and afterwards we walked around and ate at the BEST place ever. Love Shack, best known for their half sirloin half brisket hamburgers, and amazing fries. Best fries we've ever had.
While we were there, Owen saw a lady smoking and got really excited because the only place he's ever seen smoke come from is from a train. He pointed to her and said, "Smoke! Choo choo train!!"

I can't believe you saw Casey James. Fun! And Owen's comment on the lady smoking is a hoot! Love it. So glad you guys are here in Texas. I can't wait to see you.
His shirt is so cute! :) That is so fun you're getting to see a new city. Even if it's in the rain. :)
